Metallic Petrol Blue, This 1983 Mercedes R107 280SL is an beautifull example that has been properly looked after and comes with a superb Service History (28 stamps and a huge amount of Invoices and Old MOT's). The bodywork is in excellent shape and the Interior is one of the nicest we have seen in many years, with unmarked MB Text Seats, great Wood and really clean carpets. This SL also benefits from having just had a new Soft-Top fitted. The Hard Top is also in excellent condition with an unmarked headlining. The Interior is completely dry and does not suffer any leaks from the bulkhead. Mechanically it drives beautifully with a really crisp engine and gearbox. The engine has had an expensive top-end rebuild to cure hardend valve stem seals (common on this age of SL) and all valves were cleaned and freshly lapped in. As a result it doesn't produce a puff of smoke, unlike a lot of SL's. MOT runs to January 2017 and the car has just been serviced by Star Motors of Caversham.
